What a whirlwind of experiences and emotions for day one: rush, travel, wait, lines, anxiety, recognition, joy, goofiness, laughter, appreciation for a safe trip and for the passion in the teachers attending the 2009 DEN Institute.
The Headlands is a beautiful national park on the north side of San Francisco Bay in Marin county. The view from the "dorms" [barracks in a previous life] is spectacular. Photos to come soon!
Registration, introductions, and hilarity created by team skits showcasing the new and trusted features of the DEN web site were the order of the day once everyone was settled. A pizza dinner, a glowing bon fire, and a warm shower before lights out -- what an outstanding start to this week. I'm excited and thankful for the blessing of being in this place, with these friends, at this time!
Tomorrow: a San Francisco excursion! The trolley cars leave at 8:45!
